If you want to test an MT4 → MT5 or MT5 → MT4 configuration, use the corresponding MT4 and MT5 demo versions in their respective terminals.

All participating MetaTrader terminals must run on the same Windows computer or Windows VPS.

What Can You Test?

The free demo allows you to test the actual trade-copying workflow before using Local Trade Copier EA MT4/5© with an active account.

Trade Copying

Test trades between:

• MT4 → MT4

• MT5 → MT5

• MT4 → MT5

• MT5 → MT4

You can also test one Transmitter with multiple Receiver demo accounts.

Lot Sizing & Risk

Test different Receiver lot-sizing and risk-management methods, including:

• Fixed lots

• Lot multipliers

• Balance/equity proportional sizing

• Risk-based sizing

• Minimum and maximum lot controls

Each Receiver can use its own configuration.

The trading signal can be identical. The financial exposure does not have to be.

Trade Management

Test how the Receiver handles:

• Market trades

• Pending orders

• Stop Loss

• Take Profit

• Trade modifications

• Full closures

• Partial closures

Trade Filters

Test Receiver filters such as:

• Symbol

• Magic number

• Comment

• Ticket

• Buy/Sell direction

• Trading days

• Trading times

Broker Symbol Configuration

Test accounts that use different broker symbol names.

For example:

EURUSD → EURUSD

No suffix configuration is required.

EURUSD+ → EURUSD

Use:

Suffix of the Transmitter Account: +

EURUSD → EURUSD.r

Use:

Suffix of the Receiver Account: .r

EURUSDm → EURUSDm

Use both:

Suffix of the Transmitter Account: m

Suffix of the Receiver Account: m

For substantially different instrument names:

US500 → SPX500

use:

Special Symbol 1: US500,SPX500

Testing these configurations on demo accounts is especially useful when the intended challenge accounts use different brokers.

Receiver Account Protection

You can also test the Receiver's configurable risk-management and account-protection settings, including:

• Daily drawdown controls

• Daily profit controls

• Equity/account protection

• Copying suspension conditions

• Trading days and times

These settings are technical risk-management tools. They do not guarantee compliance with a prop provider's own daily-loss or drawdown calculation.

Always verify the current rules and calculation methods of the provider separately.

How to Install the Free Demo

Step 1 — Download the Demo Files Above

Step 2 — Open the MetaTrader Data Folder

In MetaTrader select:

File → Open Data Folder

For MT4, open:

MQL4 → Experts

For MT5, open:

MQL5 → Experts

Step 3 — Copy the Demo File

Place the downloaded demo file inside the appropriate Experts folder.

Step 4 — Restart MetaTrader

Close and restart the MetaTrader terminal.

Local Trade Copier EA should then appear in the Navigator → Expert Advisors section.

Step 5 — Repeat for the Other Demo Accounts

Install the demo in every MetaTrader terminal that will participate in your test.

For a basic setup you need:

Terminal 1 = Transmitter demo account

Terminal 2 = Receiver demo account

For a multi-account challenge-style test, you can add additional Receiver demo terminals.

All participating terminals must run on the same Windows computer or Windows VPS.

How to Test the Prop Challenge Copier Demo

Step 1 — Configure the Transmitter

Attach Local Trade Copier EA MT4/5© to one chart in the source demo terminal.

Select:

Account Mode: Transmitter

Step 2 — Configure the Receiver

Attach Local Trade Copier EA MT4/5© to one chart in the Receiver demo terminal.

Select:

Account Mode: Receiver

Enter the Transmitter account number in:

Transmitter Account Number

Step 3 — Configure the Receiver Lot Size

Choose the:

Lot Size Type

you want to test.

For the first test, keep the rest of the configuration simple unless your broker symbols require specific mapping.

Step 4 — Check the Symbols

Compare the exact Transmitter and Receiver symbol names.

Configure the required suffix or Special Symbol settings if the names differ.

Step 5 — Enable Automated Trading

Enable:

Auto Trading in MT4

or:

Algo Trading in MT5.

Step 6 — Open a Test Trade

Open a trade on the Transmitter demo account.

Confirm that the corresponding trade appears on the Receiver.

Then close the Transmitter trade and confirm that the Receiver trade also closes.

Step 7 — Test Your Intended Challenge-Style Configuration

Once basic copying works, test the settings you expect to use, such as:

• Different Receiver lot sizes

• Multiple Receiver accounts

• Symbol mapping

• Trade filters

• Pending orders

• TP/SL handling

• Partial closures

• Trading days and times

• Receiver account protection

Test each important function separately so you can verify how the configuration behaves.

How to Reset the 4-Hour Demo

The free demo is fully functional for up to 4 hours at a time on demo accounts only.

To reset the demo period, in the MetaTrader demo terminal go to:

Tools → Global Variables

Then use:

Ctrl+A → Delete

After clearing the Global Variables, restart or reattach the demo as required.

Important

Only perform this reset procedure in a non-essential demo terminal.

Deleting MetaTrader Global Variables can affect other Expert Advisors or systems that use them.

Do not perform this procedure on:

• An active prop challenge account

• An important live trading terminal

• A MetaTrader installation containing Global Variables that you need to preserve

For this reason, we recommend testing the free demo in separate MetaTrader demo terminals.

Before Testing a Real Prop Challenge Account

The free demo allows you to test the technical configuration of Local Trade Copier EA MT4/5©.

It does not determine whether a particular trade-copying setup is permitted by a prop challenge provider.

Before using the copier with an active evaluation or funded account, verify the provider's current rules concerning:

• Expert Advisors

• Automated trading

• Trade copying

• Multiple accounts

• Identical or synchronized trades

• Third-party signals or strategies

• Daily loss and maximum drawdown

• Other prohibited or restricted trading practices
