Which Version Do I Need?

The version you need depends on the MetaTrader platforms used by your Transmitter and Receiver accounts.

For cross-platform MT4 ↔ MT5 copying, both versions must be purchased and installed.

Each purchased version includes its own 20 MQL5 Market activations.

Multiple Challenge Accounts & MQL5 Activations

You do not need one MQL5 Market activation for every challenge account or every MetaTrader terminal.

An MQL5 Market activation is associated with the Windows computer or VPS and its operating-system configuration rather than with an individual trading account.

This means that multiple MetaTrader terminals and challenge accounts can run on the same activated Windows computer or VPS without each account consuming a separate activation.

Each purchased MT4 or MT5 version includes 20 MQL5 Market activations.

Major hardware or operating-system changes may require another MQL5 Market activation.

Each purchased version includes 20 MQL5 Market activations and does not require a monthly or annual subscription.

Optional rentals are also available for $30 for 3 months or $40 for 6 months.

Do I need to purchase both the MT4 and MT5 versions?

Only if your copying setup uses both MetaTrader platforms.

For MT4 → MT4, you need only the MT4 version.

For MT5 → MT5, you need only the MT5 version.

For MT4 → MT5 or MT5 → MT4, you need both versions.

Do I need a separate license for every challenge account?

No.
